Comprises holograph manuscripts, typescripts, notebooks, and page proofs of Snow's novels, plays, articles, book reviews, lectures, speeches, radio broadcasts, and essays; correspondence; diaries; clippings; and business papers from 1931 to 1980. Also present in the collection are proceedings, reports, and correspondence of the English Electric Company, the House of Lords, and other agencies, as well as manuscripts by Christopher Aston, William Cooper, and other authors.

Charles Percy Snow was an English scientist, author, and statesman. Born in to a poor family, he chose to study science because financial aid was available for that discipline. After taking a Ph.D. in Physics from Oxford, he began publishing novels; despite early success, he entered government service, and had a long and distinguished career.
